Los estudiantes al finalizar del curso podrán: 
  1.  Conocer las características generales de los vertebrados:
     * Identificar las partes del cuerpo de un vertebrado.
     * Diferenciar los vertebrados de otros animales.
     * Descubrir la importancia de la columna vertebral.
    2. Clasificar los vertebrados en sus diferentes grupos:
     * Aprender sobre los peces, anfibios, reptiles, aves y mamíferos.
     * Identificar las características distintivas de cada grupo.
     * Clasificar diferentes vertebrados en sus grupos correspondientes.
    3. Comprender la diversidad de los vertebrados:
     * Descubrir la gran variedad de formas y tamaños que existen entre los vertebrados.
     * Conocer algunos ejemplos de vertebrados de cada grupo.
     * Apreciar la importancia de la biodiversidad.
    4. Estudiar la adaptación de los vertebrados a su entorno:
     * Descubrir cómo los vertebrados se adaptan a diferentes hábitats.
     * Comprender la relación entre las características de los vertebrados y su entorno.
     * Apreciar la importancia de la adaptación para la supervivencia.
    5. Desarrollar una actitud de respeto y cuidado hacia los vertebrados:
     * Conocer la importancia de proteger a los vertebrados.
     * Descubrir las amenazas que enfrentan los vertebrados.
     * Fomentar acciones para la conservación de los vertebrados.
